We have also been splashing in the water, pouring it from our rain making cups and blowing bubbles🌧Our book of the week was Peppa Pig’s Tiny Creatures🐷 In the book, Peppa learning about what’s in the vegetable patch and bakes bread, so we set up a vegetable patch tray and baked some fresh bread, just like they do in the book!🥕🍞 The children all loved to try some fresh warm bread, even with butter and jam ... We’ve been monkeying around in room 1 this week! Monkey Puzzle was our inspiration for many exciting activities, giving us lots of opportunities to further develop our learning! We made banana muffins that “tasted delicious”. Our grown ups gave us a challenge at snack time with mathematical bananas that we were encouraged to peel all by ourselves because we are learning to be super duper independent! And we have enjoyed the fabulous sunny weather, swinging and leaping around like chimps 🐵Take a look at the children’s favourite positional language video on YouTube “where’s the monkey” youtu.be/idJYhjGyWTU?si=K3OXtwQJy5NkEex0 ... ‘Yucky Worms’ This week room 2 learnt that worms are actually more important for our earth than we think, they help our flowers to grow and they are quiet magic that they can rebuild their own tailend. We ventured to the Natural garden area to dig some worms of our own and made them a wormery. We compared sizes and talked about being gentle with the worms. ... See MoreSee Less

This week in the nursery room, the children have been learning about Bugs & Insects🕷 The children have really enjoyed exploring our mini-beasts tuff tray, looking at all of the different insects through their magnifying glasses🦋 We have also been using the tweezers to look for wriggly worms and spiders in the soil🐛Of course it wouldn’t be the nursery room if food wasn’t involved, so the children baked some shortbread biscuits that they got to decorate as a ladybird!🐞 ... Our story of the week is ‘The Tiger Who Came to Tea’. Sophie, goes to a cafe for tea after the tiger eats all of the food in her house, so we decided in room 1 that we would go into the village to look at the cafes and shops along the high street. Special thanks to both The Blue Dragonfly Tea Room and TinJug for our lovely drinks of orange juice 🐯The children developed lots of skills and experiences on these trips, from counting to climbing steps, exchanging money and sitting with our friends at the tea rooms. We then continued our walk round the village to the Spar shop and co-op where we browsed the aisles to see if they had any tins of tiger food. ... See MoreSee Less

We would just like to take this opportunity to say thank you for all the support you have given F over the years.  He has had a wonderful time and he has made some lovely friendships. The Leaver’s Assembly today was just super, the children were all so engaged and happy – a real joy to see.  It was lovely to see F on the stage.  I can appreciate all the hours it took to produce a performance like that and it was a real pleasure to watch.

It is not very often I am touched, but I have to say, the thought and warmth that has gone into H’s final days with you has overwhelmed me… I have never known such above and beyond commitment from a school…thank you from the bottom of my heart.

C has settled in well to Room 1 and enjoys attending pre-school.  Staff make every effort to make C’s time there special and he has come home with certificates with his favourite superheroes which  was a lovely touch.  I feel that staff know C well and have been great helping him with his development and things like potty training.
